This book is a loving letter to a new “little one” from its grandmother, describing the excitement of its mommy and daddy and introducing it to its other grandma, its two grandpas, and Pablo the dog, There are flashbacks to the excited planning of the months before as well as a vision of what is soon to come—rides in a carriage or stroller, listening to books being read, being gently rocked to sleep. My daughter keeps it on my granddaughter’s bookshelf right by her bed. It was a good book to introduce the new baby to the family . And talk about changes that are going to happen. Even though the big sister could not express her concerns verbally, the book helped gently provide comfort that the new baby would fit into the family. I like how she included the dog.
